From a photo album belonging to Louise S. Davison "Lou" and her sister Alma M. Davison "Allie". This photo likely of Nellie Davison, was untitled, and on a page by itself facing a lone photo on the opposite page of an older man believed to be Alfred Grunberger, her then husband. The date could be about 1922 based on Catherine Leavitt's remarks about remembering that Nellie and "The Baron" (Grunberger) visited Bridgewater and attended a dinner party at Frank Davison's house when Catherine was a young girl. (Frank Davison is the father of Lou and Allie mentioned above) A newspaper article in 1922 also reports that Nellie and Grunberger visited Canada in 1922. In the summer of 1922 Nellie was 41, Mr. Gruenberger was 46, and Catherine Doran Davison Leavitt was 12. Margaret Helen Davison Lathrop recalls that the photos were taken at the Campbell House on the Medway River in Mill Village, NS (Hal Lathrop collection.)
