  Huguenot Society of South Carolina notes: "builder and contractor in Brooklyn, son of James and Mary (Reed) Thompson.  Threatened with tuberculosis, he moved in 1818, travelling through the country to Augusta, GA.  He regained his health, resumed his profession, and died later of yellow fever."
