  Vicki Howell notes: Came to America as a child with her father who was a cook on a ship.  Not educated beyond grade 4 but self taught. She and here sister were sent to another family as 'indentured servants' as her mother could not afford to raise them. Lived with my parents off and on. Was married twice. Died at age 97 [7]
