      William Whittington was her first husband; her second was William Handy (1751-1790), by whom she had three children: Samuel (c. 1772-1845, m. 1st Maria Chase, m. 2nd Priscilla Winder Handy, m. 3rd Mary Corbin, m. 4th Mary Burke), Robert Jenkins Henry (born c. 1773) and Mary King (c. 1778-1824, m.     • He married Mary King Henry. Mary was the daughter of Robert Jenkins Henry(Col.) and Gertrude Rousby. Her father left her tract "Golden Lyon" on Morumsco Creek and part of "Long Meadow." Mary married second Cpt. William Handy d. 1790 (Matthew Wise, The Littleton Heritage) Named by his grandmother in her will of 1756, Accomack Co. VA (Stratton Nottingham, Wills & Adm. Acc. Co.; Dan Trimble).
