  • Notes
    • Esther's will was dated September 10, 1805, Worcester County, MD. (Ruth T. Dryden, Worcester Wills, MH, p.1)

Southy is listed as serving in the Revolutionary War (Woodrow T. Wilson, 34 Families of Old Somerset, Baltimore, MD, Gateway Press, p. 133).

Administrative bonds were posted December 27, 1786 by son, Southy as next of kin, with Aaron Sterling and J. Gunby. The names of Southy's children were taken from Esther's will and that of her brother, John Nairn dated 1771. (Ruth T. Dryden, Worcester County Wills, Liber MH 1806-1813, San Diego, CA) (notes of C. Hayward Marshall and Marjorie Whittington Lankford) [5]
