      Esther was born about 1665. Esther was the daughter of Southy Littleton.

      4/1/1675 of Accomack, VA; acquired land in Maryland

      Member of a court martial which indicted the insurgents of Bacon's Rebellion.

      In 1679; he was sent to New York with Col Wm. Kendall, as a special Commissioner to confer with Gov Andros on Indian uprisings.

      He died in Albany, NY in 1679; his will executed Sept 1679 is recorded in Accomack Co, Va.

      WILL ABSTRACT LITTLETON, SOUTHY - Dated in Albany, upon Hudson River, 16 Sept 1679 - Rec. in Albany, NY 12 Oct 1679 - Probated in Accomack 17 Dec 1679 -

      To eldest son Nathaniel Littleton land on Magety Bay cont. 4050 A in Northampton County for life remainder to his male heirs, & for want of such heirs to my heirs at common law.

      To dau. Ester a Neck of land at Jengotege called King's Neck on Swansicut Creek.

      To youngest son Southy Littleton for life 2270 acres at Nandua in Accomack County, remainder to his male heirs & for want of such heirs to my heirs at common law.

      To John Rust 200 A in Somerset County, Md, all of the rest of that neck I give to my dau. Gertrude Littleton.

      To Francis Williams 300 A in Somerset County, Md where he now lives provided he pays for it as shown by my books.

      The remainder of said Neck I give to my dau. Elizabeth Littleton.

      All the rest of my land at Jengotege in Somerset County to my son Bowman Littleton. To dau. Sarah Littleton 600 A at Pokimoke in Accomack County.

      To Nathaniell Tunnell all my land in Occokonson in Accomack County.

      To Richard Jones, Jr 200 A in Accomack County as provided by deed, he paying accordingly.

      To William White, planter. 155 A at the head of the beanches of Pungotege. Bal. of my land not disposed of to my four daus. Personal est. to be divided between my 7 children. Sons to be at age at 18 & daus. at 16.

      Ester to be kept at my sister Robins & dau. Sarah at Mrs. Bridget Foxcroft's. Dau, Elizabeth at Mrs Ann Jenifer's & dau. Gertrude at Maj Bowman's. Son Bowman to be kept at Richard Bally's & Southy Littleton to be kept 4 years with his nurse, Nicholas Tyler's wife. Thomas Teagle, Clerk, Col William Kendall, Maj Edmund Bowman, Capt John Robins, Capt Daniel Jenifer & Mr Richard Bayly overseers of my will & to look after the education of my children.       16 Sept 1679 Will Abstract -to eldest son Nathaniel Littleton during his natural life a tract of land situate on Magatty Bay in Northampton County containing 4050 acres, reversion to his heirs male, and for want of male heirs to the heirs of common law.

      To daughter Esther Littleton a Neck of land at Jingoteague called the King's Neck. To the youngest son Southy Littleton during his natural life plantation at Nandua in Accomack County, containing 2270 acres, reversion to his male heirs and for want of male heirs to the heirs at common law of the testator. To John Rust 200 acres in Somerset County, Md, where he now lives, and which I laid out for him, and the rest of the land in that Neck to my daughter Gertrude Littleton. To Francis Williams 300 acres where he now lives in Somerset County, Md provided he pays for it as by his bill and account in my book, which land is between the Neck of John Rust's land and King's Neck, the remainder of which Neck up to Capt Robins' land I give to my daughter Elizabeth Littleton. All the rest of my land at Jengoteague in Somerset County I give to my son Bowman Littleton. To daughter Sarah Littleton 600 acres at Pocomoke. To Nathaniel Tunnell all my land at Accocomson in Accomack County. To Richard Jones, Jr 200 acres in Accomack County as by the deed thereof, provided he pay accordingly. To William White, planter, 155 acres in Accomack County at the head of the Branches of Pungoteague upon the same terms as that of Richard Jones. All the rest of my lands not disposed of I give to my four daughters, their heirs and assignes forever, to be equally divided between them. Sons to be at age at 18 & daughters at 16. Daughter Esther to be kept at my sister Robins; daughter Sarah, at Mrs. Bridget Foxcroft's; daughter Elizabeth at Mrs Ann Jenifer's & daughter Gertrude at Maj Bowman's. Son Bowman at Mr. Richard Bayly's & Southy Littleton to be kept four years with his nurse Nicholas Tyler's wife - Thomas Teackle, Clerk, Col William Kendall, Maj Edmund Bowman, Capt John Robins, Capt Daniel Jenifer & Mr Richard Bayly overseers of my will and to look to the education of my children.
