  • Notes
    • "..a letter written in 1841 by his cousin-sister-in-law Mary Campbell, dau. of MALCOLM, seems to indicate that Peter was alive then and in the States."

      Mary Campbell Price notes:

      "b. Cove Farm"

"Question... who was the second Peter Campbell  [she is refering to the 1851 Canadian Census which lists the members of Malcolm Campbell's household - she is refering to the Peter listed as farmer, b. Scotland, Baptist, age 40 next birthday.] If he was wrong about his age (and the census shows that many of them were, ages in later censuses not agreeing with ages in earlier censuses, etc.) then he could have been Malcolm's nephew, Peter, son of Peter who was born in Scotland in 1807. Was the second Peter just a vistor?" [2]
