"JOHN W. HARRINGTON, 64, of East Green Valley Circle, Green Valley, Newark, died Tuesday of heart failure in Wilmington Hospital. Mr. Harrington was an instructor in the mechanical engineering J technology department of Delaware Technical and Community College, Stanton campus. He worked in the engineering group of W.L. Gore & Associates summers since 1981. He was a native of Wilmington and a graduate of P.S. du Pont High School and the University of Delaware, where he was a member of Kappa Alpha fraternity. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II and a member of the Wilmington Jaycees. He was a member of Emmanuel Orthodox Presbyterian Church, where he was longtime treasurer. He is survived by his wife, Laura Lois Harrington; and two sisters, Bettie H. Deveraux of Westgate Farms and Jean H. Miller of Kennett Square, Pa. Services will be Saturday at 11:45 a.m. in Gracelawn Memorial Park chapel, North Du Pont Highway, Minquadale ..." |
